Hi! My name is Thana (‘Tana’ rhymes with “Lana”) and I’m an illustrator, surface pattern designer, and digital artist living in Bavaria, Germany. I’m so excited you’ve found me here.

For more than 17 years, I worked in the corporate and IT world, most recently as a freelance UX designer. I learned how to design for people, how to think in systems, and how to create clarity through structure. But drawing was always my constant.

No matter how busy life became, I kept coming back to sketching, painting, and creating patterns. It was where I felt most connected, most present — and most like myself.

This website is both my creative home and my shop.

Everything I create is made with intention, care, and the belief that creativity should feel accessible, joyful, and sustainable — especially for artists and parents balancing many roles.

Time became limited. Priorities became clearer. And I realized that if creativity mattered to me this much, it couldn’t live on the sidelines anymore. I wanted to build a creative life that felt honest — and that fit real life.

Today, I focus on illustration and surface pattern design, creating work that feels playful, expressive, and human. My background in UX still shapes how I think — but my art is led by intuition, emotion, and curiosity rather than rules and grids.

I’m inspired by everyday moments, bold colors, joyful imperfections, and the idea that art doesn’t need to be perfect to be meaningful.

I believe you don’t have to choose between being professional, practical, and creative. You’re allowed to evolve. You’re allowed to change direction. And you’re allowed to follow what feels true — even if it takes time.
